A really informative and engaging public meeting on vacancy and dereliction this evening, hosted by our Green Party rep for Muine Bheag (Bagenalstown), Liam O'Brien.
My colleague, Deputy Steven Matthews, Chair of the Oireachtas Housing Committee, presented the main elements of his Vacancy Bill 2022 and there was a broad discussion on heritage-led regeneration of Carlow and all of our towns.
Lots of good work progressing in Carlow with Project 2040, part-funded by my Department.
Well done to Liam on a really important public meeting.
